When you just need help pulling it all together!
This package includes:
5 Problem Areas
Window looks small and off-center and sofa is bringing attention to it- needs dressing
Poor layout for conversation because all the seats are lined against one wall
Not enough lighting (only one floorlamp)
Need some art for the walls to create a focal point
Living room and kitchen seem separate and dis-jointed because of the layout of the furniture. Can be planned better for entertaining between the two spaces.
5 Quick Fixes
To make window appear larger, hang a sheer light filtering blind higher than the actual top of the window, wider than the window casing (edges of the window), and longer than the bottom of the window.
Add sheer curtains to each side of the window again wider than the window itself (about 6 inches on each side) and watch your window double in size!
Hang artwork or a mirror next to the window. It should be longer than the actual window length and just as wide as the window.
Move the sofa to the adjacent wall (one not in picture) and add artwrk above sofa as well. This creates a focal point and a good conversation area.
Switch position of chair with floorlamp so chair is next to curtain and floorlamp is slightly behind the outside corner of the chair for reading light.
