I love the warm, cozy colors, woolen socks and sweaters and hot chocolate and that it leads to my most favorite time...THE HOLIDAYS!!!
Here I'll take you through my Fall decor both inside and out. I swtich from the bright colors of aqua, pink and lime green of summer to burnt orange, brown greys, and the deeper teal and navy of Fall.
In the living room I usually change my throw cushions and blankets, and I have a TON of throw cushions for every season. I find they're the simplest way to completely change the look of your room and incorporate new colors. The walls in my home are all neutral for this reason, to change accent colors quickly and easily.
My dining room is open to the kitchen and living room so I keep the same colors throughout. In the dining room this year I focused on the teal that I have in small amounts in the living room.
I also love to find everyday things that coordinate with the theme like my fiddle. Find things that mean something to you and use them as decor!
Outside I add mums, scarecrows, more cushions and pumpkins.
I found a pumpkin craft on Pinterest that was easy and cute!
Start with a flower pot, spray paint it a color of your choice ( I used black) and hot glue blurlap around the edge of the flower pot in a ruffle pattern.
Buy three pumpkins of various sizes (large, medium and small) and stack them on top of each other. Make sure your largest pumpkin is the diameter of the flower pot so it can fit nicely on top of the pot.
I placed an old gallon of paint in the flower pot to give it some weight since we have crazy wind here in Newfoundland.
Use a large skewer to poke through all three the pumpkins to keep them in place.
Then paint the pumpkins whatever design you like. I used acrylic paint in gold and had white pumpkins.
Finally I painted 'B' 'O' 'O' on each pumpkin in black acrylic paint and presto!
